GTA 6 Activities Guide: Every Mini-Game Shown in the Extended Look

Scuba diving, fan boats, basketball, jet skis, racing, strip clubs, jewelry robbery — here's the full list of side activities confirmed in GTA 6's gameplay reveal.

The Extended Look packs a long list of side activities into its Vice City and Bayside footage. Here's the full list, confirmed on-screen, with what each one actually looks like in the reveal.

Water and Racing

Fan boats show up out on the water, cutting through what looks like swamp terrain outside the main city — a callback to the series' long history of bayou-adjacent chaos. Jet skis and kayaking get separate shots in the same stretch of footage. A proper racing circuit also appears, with cars running an actual closed track rather than just street racing through traffic.

Physical and Combat-Adjacent

Basketball shows up as a real activity, not a background prop — someone's shown shooting hoops. Scuba diving gets its own moment, suggesting underwater areas are a real part of the map, not just visual dressing. Working out at a gym ties directly into the exercise/body-change system Rockstar confirmed elsewhere in the reveal — build muscle through repetition, not just a stat toggle.

Per TGG's July 13, 2026 interview with Rob Nelson at Rockstar North, the gym runs on a real membership: buy in, then use vending machines and protein shakes alongside the workout itself. Three exercises complete a full workout ring, which grants a timed stat boost — and the whole system is fully optional, not required to progress.

Money and Chaos

Jewelry store robbery and gas station/convenience store robberies both appear, alongside a motorbike sequence and a base jump off a skyscraper — the same jump used to demonstrate the character-switching system elsewhere in the footage. Spawning into different city locations, similar to GTA V's respawn system, gets shown as well.

Social and Odd NPC Moments

Strip clubs appear, including tipping dancers directly. A separate beat shows an NPC publicly livestreaming from their phone during unrelated chaos nearby — Rockstar clearly building in awareness that everyone in this world is online now, not just the player. Two odder beats round out the montage: watching a man use VR, and backyard wrestling between NPCs.

More Activities Confirmed Outside the Bayside Montage

IGN's interview with Rob Nelson names a longer list of open-world activities beyond what's shown in the Bayside sizzle reel specifically: pool, mini golf, kayaking, scuba diving, parachute jumping, a proper shooting range, and dirt bike racing. The shooting range in particular runs timed challenges with medal tiers to chase — not just a free-fire target range with no structure to it.

The zoo gets its own system, borrowed conceptually from Red Dead Redemption 2: an animal study checklist, rewarding players who actually stop and observe wildlife rather than just walking past it. Dogs specifically can be pet, scolded, or studied — three distinct interactions, not one generic "interact" prompt.

Interiors Are Built to Be Touched, Not Just Walked Through

Per IGN, interactable interiors extend down to small details — fridge items and light switches are both called out specifically. Food and drink buffs character stats, and there's an energy system tied to sleep and food, meaning some of these small interactions aren't purely cosmetic; they feed back into how your character performs.

The Bayside Stretch

A big chunk of the original activities get shown back-to-back in a sizzle-reel section covering Bayside specifically — Rockstar clearly using it to establish how dense the world is with things to do outside of missions, not just how big the map is. It plays more like a highlight reel than a systems breakdown, which is why individual mechanics for those specific activities — payouts, unlock requirements, how deep each one actually goes — aren't detailed in that footage.

What's Not Confirmed

None of this confirms specific payouts, unlock requirements, or how these activities tie into progression systems beyond the gym's stat-boost ring and the zoo's study checklist. Treat everything else as open until Rockstar says otherwise — don't assume GTA Online's activity-reward structure carries over untouched.

How This Compares to Past GTA Side Content

GTA V shipped with tennis, golf, darts, and yoga as its own optional activity set, and most players tried each once before ignoring them for the rest of the game — none of them fed back into core systems in a way that mattered. GTA 6's version reads differently on paper: the zoo checklist rewards actual attention, the shooting range has medals to chase, and food/energy ties activities into how your character performs rather than sitting completely separate from it. Whether that holds up past the first few hours is exactly the kind of thing an Extended Look reel can't prove either way.

What This Means Going In

This is a genuinely long list for a pre-launch reveal, and it splits into two tiers: activities with confirmed mechanics behind them (gym, zoo, shooting range, energy/food system) and activities that are confirmed to exist but not confirmed in depth (mini golf, kayaking, dirt bike racing, most of the money-and-chaos list). Expect the first group to matter for actual progression at launch, and treat the second group as world texture until Rockstar details more.
